A carry-on suitcase set of 2
"Set of 2" is one of the vaguest phrases in luggage listings. Before you compare prices, make sure you know which two pieces you are actually getting.
What "set of 2" can mean
Depending on the brand, a two-piece set might be:
- a carry-on plus a larger checked suitcase,
- two carry-ons of the same or slightly different sizes,
- a carry-on plus a backpack, tote or duffel, or
- a carry-on plus a small hard case for makeup and toiletries.
Look for the size of each piece, not just the word "set". A low price for "2 pieces" can mean a suitcase and a pouch.
What is in The Weekender Set
- Carry-on: hard shell, 55 × 34 × 22 cm (21.6 × 13.4 × 8.66 in) including wheels, four spinner wheels, telescoping handle with three heights, top carry handle, side combination lock.
- Vanity case: 30 × 30 × 16 cm (11.8 × 11.8 × 6.3 in), two top handles, and a strap that slips over the carry-on's handle so it rides on top.
Both pieces share the same wave-textured shell and come in the same color, Obsidian or Lilac.
Who a carry-on and small case suits
This kind of set is built for trips you can do without checking a bag: weekends, short work trips, a few nights away. The carry-on holds clothes and shoes; the small case keeps toiletries and makeup separate and easy to reach.
If you need a checked-size suitcase, this is not the set for you. The Weekender Set comes in one size only and there are no larger pieces.
